Wendy's love of horses began as a child. After pleading for riding lessons, her education started with two weeks at riding camp. At the age of six, she started lessons and successfully climbed the levels of the sport. She accomplished this despite the fact that, unlike many of today's competitors, she rode borrowed horses and never owned a horse until college. Becaue of these beginnings, Wendy has an imense emphathy for riders of all abilities and ambitions. Whether you want to compete at Preliminary or higher, or if you just want to improve the communication with your horse, Wendy can help you achieve your goals.
Her work ethic, dedication, and vision of a dream has led to her being selected five times for the prestigious United States Equestrian Team Developing Rider Program. This program is designed specifically for promising riders who will likely be chosen to represent the United States in international competition. She has won competitions at all levels of eventing as well as three times completing the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event.
Whether you want to become a better rider, advance your horse’s training, or share in Wendy's adventures as an international Three-Day Event competitor, you can become a part of the Lewis Event team. |
